STEPHEN DRAPER

Stephen leads Envision Cold’s operations across the United States and Canada and oversees the company’s customer relationships. He also helps steer overall strategy and vision for the organization. 

Prior to founding Envision Cold, Stephen served as Vice President of Operations with Americold, the second largest and only publicly traded cold storage provider in the world, where he was responsible for their Southeast business unit that encompassed 14 states, 50 facilities, and upwards of 3,000 employees. He also played a fundamental role in supporting Americold’s IPO launch in 2018, which led to tremendous growth and expanded his responsibilities to include oversight of multiple acquisitions, greenfield projects, and new automation into the cold chain.

Stephen grew up in cold storage, starting his career in 1993 as a forklift operator for Americold in Clearfield, UT. He quickly climbed the ranks, and his passion for people and tenacity to see the business differently ultimately led him on a continued path of leadership in various roles across the country, including Boise, ID; Salt Lake City, UT; Phoenix, AZ; Charlotte, NC; and Huntsville, AL.

Stephen and his wife share three children and a grandson. Their family loves spending time at their cabin in Blue Ridge, GA, where Stephen enjoys fly fishing, canoeing, and all things outdoors. Stephen is also deeply involved in the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) with an emphasized focus on the development of future leaders.
